CR 100 (Introduction to Computer Engineering)


This course will equip students with basic knowledge of computer components, concepts of computer architecture, instruction set, computing systems and encoding. In addition, it introduces various features and operating principles of the parts inside the computer processor, describing the implementation of a command op-code and information processing techniques. The course investigates new challenges posed by ICT and related ethical debates about personal identity and community, gender issues and diversity.
