This course provides: - The concepts of telecommunications networks and popular telecommunications services. - Digital signal techniques. - Issues related to signal transmission: electromagnetic waves, electromagnetic spectrum, frequency band, main transmission mediums, single-sided, half-duplex, duplex transmission; modulation, multiplexing, the sources of attenuation that reduce the signal quality at the receiver and indicators for evaluating the quality of the signal. - The main characteristics of the transmission system, telecommunication systems: microwave satellite information system; Optical information system; Television information system.
